Microscope World is proud to offer a microscope starter kit and DVD "Adventures with a Microscope" with all student high power microscope purchases. The kit includes the following items:

2. The DVD "Adventures with a Microscope"

The "Adventures with a Microscope" DVD was produced by Microscope World with kids in mind. The program is 1 hr. 5 min. and is for home use only. Different videos are available for schools.

The DVD has four main sections with 13 chapter points:
Part 1 (12 min.) How to Use a Microscope and Prepare Slides: You will learn everything you need to know in order to get the most out of your new microscope.

Part 2 (15 min.) Investigating Cells: Five engaging demonstrations of observations that you can do with plant and animal cells.

Part 3 (22 min.) Observing Prepared Specimens: This section shows you what to loo for when using the 10 prepared slides in your Super Slide Kit (these are in 10 individual chapter points on the DVD for easy access.)

Part 4 (15 min.) Investigating Pond Water: This section is a lot of fun! You will see many microscopic critters found in pond water. See protozoans splitting and watch the food chain in action! With your microscope, you can then find these same organisms in lakes, streams, aquariums or even in a rain puddle!

3. Educational Resource Section of Website

Each customer will receive a User ID and Password for access to the educational material in Microscope World's special educational resource section of the website.
